Our Story
The Graceful Host Party Shop was founded by Ashley Culicchia Cash, who was inspired to help other busy moms create picture perfect parties for their kids and loved ones. Before the balloons and confetti, Ashley planned and designed luxury weddings with The Graceful Host Events.
The Party Shop officially launched in August 2018 selling curated themed party kits online as a sister company. With a move from Charlotte, North Carolina back to her hometown of Covington, Louisiana, Ashley started offering balloon services while getting established in the New Orleans market for weddings. But the balloons popped off - pun intended! 😉
10 years later in the wedding industry, Ashley decided to take a break from weddings to hone in on her love for everyday occasions and helping families celebrate all the things with less stress. She quickly outgrew her home office by the end of 2020 and knew that she needed a bigger location to grow.
After finding a retail location and a lot of sweat equity, The Graceful Host Shop opened March 5, 2021 in downtown Covington as the Northshore's premier party and balloon shop. And in August 2022, The Graceful Host Shop relocated to our beautiful forever home at 218 Lee Lane.

My passion for helping others quickly grew The Party Shop into what you see today, where we specialize in art-inspired balloon installations, modern party supplies and decor, and party planning services.
I've always loved helping others take the stress and guesswork out of entertaining. Whether it's an intimate gathering or a larger party, I have streamlined our services and offerings to be your one-stop shop for all things entertaining, so that you can plan and host your event with ease.
I grew up in Covington, attending St Scholastica Academy for high school. I attended Elon University earning my degrees in Classical Vocal Performance and Corporate Communications and met my husband. We moved to Charlotte after graduation, and I started on a path to further my vocal career. But a change of heart led me to switch gears, and The Graceful Host Events was established in 2012.
I have two boys, Ryan and Brooks, who keep me very busy outside of The Party Shop. Our family moved back to Louisiana after my husband's job change, and we quickly grew to love our new life in my hometown.
